im 13 years old and ive only lost like the ones in the back. 12 teeth in ALL. and none off my other teeth are loose at all. my dentist said that 1 of my tooth doesnt have a pernament tooth under it so that one wont come out. im afraid that thats how the others are. how many teeth could they pull out in all?
How many baby teeth have to fall out before i get braces?
you need to lose all your baby teeth before going in for braces.
Reply:Losing your baby teeth is a normal thing. It doesn't mean that you will get, or even need braces.
It doesn't seem like your question even has anything to do with braces.
Reply:Let's do the math. You start out with 20 baby teeth. If you are missing one permanent tooth, then 19 baby teeth are left. You say than only 12 teeth have been lost. This means you have 7 more baby teeth.
The assumption made is that:
1) Your dentist would have told you if there was more than one permanent tooth missing, and
2) You have counted correctly how many teeth you have lost.
Why would they pull out the other baby teeth? The only reason to pull them out is if the permanent teeth won't come in on their own. Did they mention extracting teeth? Or are you just guessing this is what is going to be done?
Just because you are 13 isn't a reason to pull out the teeth. Each person is a little bit different when they are "ready" for the braces to start.
