HELP!!!! baby teeth question?
Teeth can not be rushed:) They will come when they come-I know that is probably not what you wanted to hear but it is true. If your child is in pain or not sleeping check with your doctor about using infant Tylenol (or the store brand of it) every 4 hours. I did this when my son was in pain and it helped him a lot (and me)! Also, give her cold teething toys or try wetting a washcloth and freezing it and then giving to her to chew on. If you see bumps on her gums instead of just smooth gums like before the teeth are probably just under the surface and ready to push through. The first teeth are always the hardest and most painful for the baby as they have no idea what is going on and why they are in pain. The teeth will come, have no doubt just try to get her comfortable because this is normal!
Reply:they are goign to come in - not always at once- my 3 yearold has his back teeth coming in. just be patitent sucking on a ice cold rag hels or a tetthign ring. you can get a teethign ring or toys or even special biscuits/ cookies. I used teething jell and rubbed it on his gums to help.
Reply:you can't rush them...wet a hand towel, put it in the freezer and let her suck on it.....that helped with my daughter...some babies don't get their first tooth until a yr old....
Reply:Definatly not. They'll be here when they're good and ready and not a moment before. My oldest started teething at three months and her teeth didn't pop through until she was 6 almost 7 months old. My youngest teethed for one day and they popped through the next. A friend of mine's daughter has been teething since she was 4 months and she's 11 months with no sign of teeth.

A cold wet face cloth is very handy when they start fussing.
Reply:Don't rush them the longer it take the better the teeth. I know it's a pain but you don't want her teeth to be messed up. You can always rub liquid ibeprofin on her gums for the pain and you won't over dose her. White or light pink gums means that they are comeing thru. Good luck !
Reply:you cant rush babies getting teeth they come when they are ready, there are a v=few simple things might help.

you can give your baby frozen lemon slices to chew on (cut a lemon into wedges, leave skin and put in freezer) the coldness and the acidity numb the pain (you can use oranges instead but lemons are better)

You can give some numbing gel from the drug store just ask your pharmicist which one is best.

give lots of toys to chew on

you can buy rusks from the supermarket normally in the baby aisle

at night time if baby is in lots of pain you can give a baby ibruprofen check with the drug store for a suitable one this is better than panadol as it has anti inflammatories in it, just make sure baby has had some milk or food before you give it as it should be taken with food.

it may take a while and you will probably have sleepless nights so good luck.
Reply:My son was nine months, almost ten months when he got his first teeth. I heard the longer the teeth take to come in, the stronger they are. You can't rush them, and you will see little white bumps on the gums when they are ready to come.
Reply:Nope, it's just a game of wait-and-see. My daughter showed the normal signs of teething at the average age, but never got her first two teeth in until she was 14 months old. It was terrible waiting, I mean I know all kids are different, but when no one you talk to has ever heard of that or experienced it, it really gets you wondering! Your child still has plenty of time, I have seen a lot of parents on here saying their child didn't get any teeth in til 12 months. No way to rush them either.
Reply:Her teeth will come in eventually. My oldest daughter didn't get her first tooth until after her first birthday. After that, they just kept on coming. There is something you can do to help soothe her. Buy teething tablets by Hyland's. They sell them at Walgreen's. Trust me, they work. You also need to get some infants Motrin. Tylenol doesn't help as much as Motrin because it doesn't help with the inflammation, which is where most of her discomfort is coming from. If anyone tells you to cut her gums to speed up her teething, DON'T DO IT. That would be painful, could cause the teeth not to come in straight and cause an infection. Good luck.
Reply:lol no there is no way to rush them they will come when they come just give her orajel and some cold teething rings maybe some motrin for the pain and just wait im sry for hell
Reply:you dont want to rush it. it will happen. soon, youll see it start to bubble a little bit then hell get a tooth. i have son who is about to turn 8 months old on the first and he got 2 teeth at the very same time.
Reply:Does you babies gum look swollen. You could give your baby something hard for her teeth. When babies grow there teeth they usually always have things in there mouth.
Reply:Every baby is different some will have signs of teething while other don't. With some babies you can see white where the teeth are coming through while with other babies you cannot see anything. It depends. Some babies will show signs for months on end befor breaking any teeth while other babies break teeth overnight. My daughter started teething at 4 months of age, she is now 7 months old and still does not have a tooth but has the ongoing signs. The average baby can start showing signs of teething at around 4 months but the average time a baby gets his/her first tooth is around 7 months but babies can get there teeth as early as 3 months and as late as a year, there is no saying. There are several things you can do to ease your babies discomfort such as teeth rings, orajel, nice cold wash cloth to suck and bite down on, ibuprophen and so on. Hope i helped!
