My son's baby teeth?

my youngest son is 6 almost 7years old....he has not lost any of his baby teeth...their not even loose....should I be worried?

My son%26#039;s baby teeth?
It%26#039;s no big deal.

Some kids lose their baby teeth later than others.

Some kids--one of my brothers and myself included--actually ONLY have baby teeth in a few spots. Yep, I%26#039;m 34, and I still have two baby teeth. They did X-rays, and there were no adult teeth underneath there. (I never had any wisdom teeth, either.) It%26#039;s not that unusual of a situation, and it makes me really glad that I had good genes and took good care of my teeth when I was younger!

Anyway, before anyone starts talking to you about damage to adult teeth and possibly pulling baby ones, make sure a full set of X-rays gets done and you%26#039;re sure there actually IS a problem.
Reply:Did he cut his baby teeth late? If so, this could cause him to lose them late.
Reply:no, it%26#039;s quite normal...but what you should do is go and get x-rays at a dentist to see if everything is okay. they will show the teeth even though they aren%26#039;t in yet.
Reply:No, they%26#039;ll come out in time. It may help to tell your son to use his fingers to try to wiggle his teeth, sometimes this will loosen them up. I have kids myself.
Reply:No, some kids teeth fall out faster or slower than others. My teeth started to fall out when i was eight and it didn%26#039;t effect my teeth at all, they%26#039;re all straight!
Reply:I think you should take him to a dentist because his permanate teeth will start to come in and will come in crooked because of his baby teeth still being there. It would be better in the long run if the baby teeth were pulled.
Reply:how old was he when he first got the baby teeth? i lost my first right about when i was 7 but my first baby teeth didn%26#039;t come in til i was almost 1. i%26#039;ve been told that later teeth are stronger, and unless the permanent ones are coming in around the baby ones, it shouldn%26#039;t be a big deal. some ppl are just late about teeth :)
Reply:My daughter is about to turn seven and she is just now losing her first tooth, I wouldn%26#039;t worry. I didn%26#039;t start losing mine %26#039;til I was 7.
Reply:You shouldn%26#039;t worry just yet. Some children lose baby teeth and grow teeth at a slower pace than others. However it is not too early for him to visit the dentist. They can give you a better assessment. Typically the age to start losing is 6, so your son is still on track.
Reply:Why? Is he in pain? Are his baby teeth rotten? Are his permanent teeth pushing his baby teeth out? What are you worrying about?
Reply:All kids lose teeth at their own pace. However, take him to the dentist and have a panoramic x-ray taken to see about where the permanant teeth are located. The doctor may want to extract his baby teeth to allow the permanant to come in. The x-ray will also show if (rarely) his permanant teeth have not developed yet.
Reply:he%26#039;s fine. dont worry but you may want to go to the dentist and ask about it. i went to the dentist and i still have 10 more baby teeth to go. my mouth just dropped. i was only 11. i have a year for them to to fall out. i lost 1. but 4 r loose. my dentist told me dont worry your not the only one who loses teeth slowly. there%26#039;s this 15-16 year old who is still losin a few teeth. i couldnt belive it. but it normal.
Reply:I don%26#039;t remember when I lost my first baby teeth, but I lost my last two in high school. One top canine in ninth grade, the other in tenth grade.

One thing you might want the dentist to check out: My bottom teeth all grew in behind my baby teeth and I had to have them all pulled. My dad%26#039;s uncle had at least two sets of teeth in his mouth (someone once told me he had three) because his grew behind, also. That was in like the 1910s, and they didn%26#039;t pull his baby teeth out.
Reply:no mine fell out in 4th grade its fine
Reply:A visit to your dentist for x-rays will help confirm if there is a problem. My son was 6 when he lost his first tooth, then didn%26#039;t lose another for quite some time. He is now 10, and at a recent visit to our dentist, she told us he would shortly have a mouth full of loose teeth - he lost 9 teeth over a two month period. She was able to see from the x-ray the adult teeth coming close to breaking through. Don%26#039;t worry :)
Reply:Children loose teeth at all different ages. Loosing them late isn%26#039;t a problem unless the other teeth are ready to come in. The only way of telling this is through an x-ray. If the teeth need to move out of the way for adult teeth the dentist will pull them.
Reply:No, some children lose their teeth later than others. My daughter was like your son....she did not lose her first tooth until she was seven. Now, she is 11 years old and they are dropping like flies!
