If I'm not mistaken, puppies lose baby teeth?

My husband and I are having a debate and I say puppies lose baby teeth, he says they don%26#039;t. Who is right and please give me the source of your information i.e. a website would be best. Thank you!

If I%26#039;m not mistaken, puppies lose baby teeth?
Hello;

They sure do! My Jack Russell Terrier was sooo cute, when he lost his last tooth in a pair of socks of mine, that he stole from me... it%26#039;s why I named him %26quot;Bandit%26quot;!; that and he%26#039;s got a natural mask.

I had saved them, but when I moved from Michigan to Puerto Rico (I know, what a move!), I lost his baby teeth! That%26#039;s okay, I still have the Bandit, (or El Bandido en Espanol). He%26#039;s 3 1/2 yrs old now, and loving it here, as he did in Michigan... He used to chase the squirrels in the parks, but now he%26#039;s chasing lizards!

As with our baby teeth, the dogs baby teeth really don%26#039;t have any roots, so in normal play activity they%26#039;ll come out... being a lot more tolerant to pain than most of us whimpy humans, it won%26#039;t bother them a bit!

A lot of people get tired of their kids, and their dogs... I still look at mine (both) and say; %26quot;they%26#039;re soooo cute!%26quot;.

I hope this helped!;

Reply:Indeed they do loose baby teeth. You very rarely ever see them though. Most of them get swallowed.
Reply:yes, puppies do lose teeth. kittens also. horses however do not. there teeth erupt continuously throughout there life, like rabbits teeth and therefore need to be filed periodically.
Reply:they absolutely do! i dont have any sites, but i have had over 20 puppies, and they all lost baby teeth!
Reply:Yes, dogs get two sets of teeth.

Reply:yes, they most certainly do. We have a 4 month old yorkie and his last vet visit was last friday, and he told me he was getting ready to lose some of his baby teeth! I didn%26#039;t know that until then and I%26#039;ve had dogs for most of my life! He told me after I told him the dog was a chewer, the vet said he was teething and getting ready to lose some!

Reply:Yes dogs have two sets of teeth, puppy and adult. They lose the puppy teeth betwen 4-6 months.
Reply:Yes, they do lose their puppy teeth (around 5-6 months old). I experienced this with all my dogs, especially when I step on the puppy teeth on the floor). I usually check their teeth and see which one is loose everyday.
Reply:You are right. I have seen my puppy lose a tooth, and I have seen her adult tooth growing while she still has the baby tooth. This is why puppies chew everything in sight. They are teething.Kittens do this too. Here%26#039;s your Website for proof to your dh. http://www.canismajor.com/dog/teeth.html
Reply:yes they lose teeth so do kittens that%26#039;s why you give puppies something to teeth on just like a baby
Reply:Of course they do!
Reply:You are not often wrong but you are right again puppies do loose the baby teeth

As with humans the adult teeth push out the milk teeth
Reply:This may sound weird but I saved my dogs puppy teeth, I have two pitbulls, and yes you are correct they do lose their baby teeth. I don%26#039;t know a site you can go to but I am sure if you go to Ask.com you may find something there.
Reply:puppies lose their teeth, just like human babies do. SO YOUR RIGHT, HE%26#039;S WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!! See men don%26#039;t know everything. My source growing up with dogs my whole life, oh and stepping on the teeth they%26#039;ve lost. OUCH!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:You get to tell your husband I told you so !!! Cause every puppy will lose their baby teeth. My chi did not lose one of her baby teeth so when they spayed her I had them to also pull that baby tooth out while she was a sleep. Where does he think the baby teeth go when the adult teeth come in?
Reply:yup they loose baby teeth like we do
