My son's adult teeth are coming in and one of his baby teeth is still there.?

I%26#039;ve spoken with his dentist in January, he said keep wiggling it. Well, we have and it hasn%26#039;t loosened at all!! It is now March and his adult tooth is almost fully in and crooked because the baby tooth is in the way. She told us not to worry that the tongue would push it into place....are you kidding? If that were true noone should have crooked front teeth then... HELP!

My son%26#039;s adult teeth are coming in and one of his baby teeth is still there.?
I had this exact same thing happen to me and my bottom, front four teeth are all malpositioned. It doesn%26#039;t bother me because they aren%26#039;t that crooked, but most people in this day and age will want/need orthodontics to correct them.

Your dentist isn%26#039;t entirely wrong..your tongue can help shift teeth after a period of time (just like braces) but I wouldn%26#039;t think they%26#039;d be shifted completely straight by the tongue.
Reply:This happened to me as a child as well. My dentist had to pull a couple of my baby teeth because they wouldn%26#039;t just come out. I would maybe see a different dentist, just to get a second opinion.
Reply:need find new dent
Reply:You should take him to an oral surgeon for those primary teeth to be extracted. They are affecting the way his adult teeth are positioning. He will most likely need braces if this is not corrected.
Reply:Your dentist should have pulled the baby tooth out when you seen his adult tooth was coming in. I would find another dentist and get it fixed right away.
