Each child is different, and so they lose their teeth at different rates. It%26#039;s normal; if it%26#039;s not a concern for your doctor or dentist, then I wouldn%26#039;t worry about it.
Reply:I lost all my baby teeth by the time I was 7 and also had braces at 10
Reply:A dentist put braces on a child who hasn%26#039;t lost all of their baby AND gotten all of their permanent teeth. They should be reported to the American Dental Association. They totally scammed the parents. No, you don%26#039;t put braces on a child until ALL their permanent teeth come in.
Reply:My son is 7 and has only lost four teeth. There are several children in his second grade class (age 7 %26amp; 8) that also have braces without all of their permenant teeth. I also thought this seemed redundant. However, it seems to be the trend at my sons school. I didn%26#039;t get my braces until the age of 15. It seems to fast to me.
Reply:Some orthodontic cases are to prevent crooked teeth in new permanent teeth. so it really depends on the patient and the needs for the braces.
