Is there anything to help my pomeranian lose his baby teeth?

My pom is 6 months old. His adult teeth are growing in and his baby teeth are not going away. I have read that if they do not lose their baby teeth they need to be extracted. What are some things that i can buy him to help him lose those teeth?

Is there anything to help my pomeranian lose his baby teeth?
A trip to the vet :) Toy dogs will often be incapable of loosing their puppy teeth and that is just part and parcel of owning and being responsible for a toy breed. You can%26#039;t buy anything that will help the teeth come out because the dogs often lack the jaw strength as well as the baby teeth are often just too %26#039;in%26#039; there to fall out on their own or with chewing. The adult teeth can be badly malformed if you try to wait and then you will be needing to have frequent dental care on the adult teeth so the sooner you have the baby teeth removed, the better in the long run.
Reply:talk to the vet. provide the dog with lots of things to chew.
Reply:no he got o lose them naturaly unless hes having problems then u take him to the vet.
Reply:i am not sure you should talk to his vet
Reply:try some little rawhide bones from like Petco, they have what I call the baby size, that should help. Don%26#039;t worry if you see blood on the chew it happens and means his teeth are getting loose, plus it%26#039;ll clean his teeth. If your worried about him choking they have these bones called %26quot;greenies%26quot; they are mint flavored I think but they are safer than rawhide GOOD LUCK, under no circumstances give him animal bones they can get stuck in their intestine and cost big $$$$ to remove..
Reply:well for all of my dogs we gave them an old but clean sock and died it in a knot that way its fun to chew on and the usually loose them in the sock so you wont walk around bare foot and step on it which btw HURTS SO BAD
Reply:l know that when dogs play with each other they fall out like crazy. Rawhide and hard rubber toys could help. But if you see the adults coming in from the side and fitting comfortably next to the baby teeth, then those will need to be extracted which they will usually do when you go to spay and neuter them. They just do it all at once.
Reply:At many pet stores or places that sell pet supplies (I got mine at Walmart) there is a %26quot;teething ring%26quot; toy you can buy for your pet. It%26#039;s shaped and made to help them loose their pup teeth if they chew on it. It%26#039;s hard plastic, and is the shape of a teething ring. I use it with my dogs.
Reply:pull them
Reply:I am noway an expert on this in fact i have never herd of this happening but i would say you and the dog play some tug of war! or some really chewwy treats
